Postpartum Doula & Postpartum Support

The Power of Postpartum Support: Embracing the Journey of Early Parenthood

Bringing your baby home can be an incredible, joyful time with a mix of uncertainty, nervousness, and concerns.

This is an influential time for newborns and new parents to bond, adjust and support each other through the early stages of parenthood.

This period, also known as the Fourth Trimester, can be overwhelming, and not just for first-time parents. With invaluable support, encouragement, and nurturing care,  the physical and emotional challenges that may arise can be navigated with confidence and strength.

Your postpartum period is a time of transition, adjustment, and profound transformation.

Your doula is there for you every step of the way assisting with a multitude of skills, education, and compassion. She is your professional best friend, a reliable resource, and helping hand for all of your postpartum needs.

Postpartum Doula Support

  • They say “sleep when the baby sleeps” but eventually the dishes, the laundry, the daily cooking, all need to get done. Your doula is there to assist or create space for your daily needs to be met. Can’t remember when the last time you took a shower was? They are that extra set of hands for when you wish you had just one (two) more.

  • With all of the profound joys and heart-melting moments in your Fourth Trimester, there can also be immense emotional challenges. There is often pressure to “enjoy every moment.” Some moments are harder than others. You are not alone in your feelings, and your doula is there to listen, talk and validate your feelings and experiences.

Additional Postpartum Support

  • Placenta Encapsulation is the process of transforming your placenta into an ingestible capsule to be taken postpartumly. Through a respectful and honoring process, your placenta, that your body grew specifically for your little one(s), turns into an additional personalized element during your healing time after birth.

    Benefits Include:

An increase and boost in energy level

An increase in the hormone oxytocin - which aids in returning the uterus to it’s original size, which in turn aides in a decrease in postpartum waste blood, and enhances bonding with baby

    An increase in breastmilk production

Helps restore iron levels in the blood

A decrease in Baby Blues, postpartum depression or other PMADs (Perinatal or Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders)

  • While breastfeeding is a natural action and experience, we understand it does not always come naturally, or is easy from the beginning. It is normal for the flow and ease of breastfeeding to take some time. It is a learned experience on both your side and your baby / babies side.

If you are experiencing issues or have concerns with breastfeeding, we are here to help and support you through this to have the best feeding journey for you and your baby.

We do not feel that there is one right way to feed your baby, and it can take a little time to find what works for you all.

  • Learn to provide the nurturing touch of massage to your baby. This process of bonding offers so many opportunities for you and your baby to get to know each other better and strengthen your relationship building upon love and trust through interaction, relaxation, stimulation, and relief.

This is offered in private one-on-one sessions or group classes.
